Support Local BC (2020):
EVERY transaction at participating local retailers will give the shopper the opportunity to scan the code to be entered to win one of the multiple weekly prizes.
Chilliwack Walk and Shop (2020):
- Developed this event designed to bring all businesses together and focus on supporting local with back to school offers.
A Very Merry Shopportunity (2020):
- Created this customer engagement campaign to encourage shopping, eating and supporting local.
Shopportunity - A Shop Local Campaign (ongoing)
A support local initiative designed to share local business features including the safety measures taken to keep customers safe. Over 65 businesses participated in this fun, Christmas shopping adventure that had you collecting stamps at various locations with over $1600 in prizes given away.
Project Restart (2020/2021)
The Local Business Restart Project (LBRP), also known as Project Restart, was an innovative joint initiative between Community Futures South Fraser (CFSF) and Stó:lō Community Futures (SCF), as a direct response to the economic and social impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic to the small and medium-sized businesses in Chilliwack and Abbotsford, located within S’ólh Téméxw, the Stó:lō Traditional Territory. LBRP included the collaboration between CFSF as lead, and with partners SCF, the Chilliwack Economic Recovery Network (CERN) and the Abbotsford Business Community Coalition (ABCC).
The project provided supports for workforce development, financial impact strategies, e-commerce strategies, marketing strategies, and skill building, to assist businesses with pivoting operations, and enhancing their offerings and processes, to re-open, restart, and maintain operations. The LBRP was delivered online through a mental health, cultural, educational, and coaching lens.
Love Local (2020/2021)
A local dine out campaign during the circuit breaker to support local restaraunts, cafes, bistros and pubs by encouraging the community and businesses to support a local food and beverage establishment a different way on one of 7 days in a week! 7 ways in 7 days.
